Your Voice Matters
Our Jewish Federation’s Strategic Planning process has begun, and we are fortunate to be using local professional group, Soukup Consulting, who are in the process of interviewing 30 key Jewish Federation partners, community leaders, and stakeholders. Concurrently, the Soukup team are reviewing our agency’s governance, fundraising, operational, financial documents and processes in order to more fully understand our organization and help assess whether there are opportunities for improvement.
As the next step in the process, we are excited to share the opportunity for a limited number of community members to participate in eight focus groups of up to 15 participants in each. Although everyone will have a chance to provide us with personal insights through a final community survey later this year, these focus groups will enable deeper conversation providing broad-based community representation and perspective. The available times and locations are available for participation by any self-identified community member of that group as follows:
Sunday November 15th
At the Nina Iser Jewish Cultural Center:
- 9:15-10:15am - Jewish Federation Members
- 9:45-10:45am - Israeli Community Members
At Temple Shalom:
- 9:15-10:15am - Parents with children ages 5-12
- 10:45-11:45am - Parents with children ages 13-18
Monday November 16th
At the Nina Iser Jewish Cultural Center
- 9:15-10:15am - Parents of pre-school children
- 9:15-10:15am - Jewish Federation Members
- 10:45-11:45am - Parents of pre-school children
- 10:45-11:45am - Non-Jewish Federation Members
If you are interested in participating in one of these topic-specific focus groups, please register at www.jewishnaples.org/stratplan26 Registration is on a first-come, first-registered basis. If interested, please sign up as soon as possible. The final step in our Strategic Planning data gathering process is an online survey during the November/December timeframe, where every member of our Greater Naples Jewish community will be able to share their voice.
Finally, once all the information from the interviews, focus groups, and surveys are consolidated by the consultants, the JFGN board will engage in a strategic planning retreat where Soukup will present their findings and together with our Board, will identify the key initiatives for the next five years.
This is your opportunity to share what you believe is working well, where JFGN can make a meaningful impact and, most importantly, the needs and challenges you see facing our Jewish community in the coming years.
